Are you looking for a meaningful and rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day? At Dimensions UK, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalised support for people with learning disabilities and autism. We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in helping a creative and active gentleman live his best life.
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be supporting an individual who leads an inspiring and busy lifestyle. He’s a creative and active person who takes pride in his various hobbies and contributions to his community. You’ll be there to support him in all aspects of his daily life, helping him continue doing the things he loves.
Here’s a bit more about the gentleman you'll be supporting:
* He’s part of a local running club. He regularly runs 5k and has run a marathon for charity. Your role will involve supporting him in staying active, attending his running club, and encouraging his love for fitness. You’ll help him get to events, and if you’re active yourself, maybe even join him on some of his runs!
* He’s incredibly talented spending a lot of time in his very own woodwork shed. He makes bird boxes, candles, and other crafts that he sells at local fairs. You’ll support him in managing his projects, attending craft fairs, and celebrating his creativity.
* He has a strong work ethic and has held a permanent job before. Now, he enjoys volunteering at a local café. You’ll support him in maintaining his routine, getting to and from work, and staying motivated in his role. Helping him stay involved in the community is a big part of this position.
* He loves long walks with his dog, which are a regular part of his life. If you enjoy the outdoors and the company of a friendly canine, you’ll love helping him keep up with this part of his daily routine.
What We’re Looking For:
* A positive, proactive attitude to support his busy and varied lifestyle.
* Ability to encourage and motivate, whether it’s for a charity run, a craft project, or a day at his volunteer job.
* Patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping him live independently while continuing his activities.
* Someone who can provide emotional support when needed and help him navigate any challenges.
Why Join Dimensions UK?
At Dimensions, we believe in helping people with learning disabilities and autism live better lives, and that starts with our team. You’ll be joining a supportive, inclusive environment that invests in your training, development, and overall well-being.
You’ll be empowered to help this gentleman achieve his goals, contribute to his community, and continue living a rich, active life. In return, you’ll gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to make a lasting, positive impact.
