We have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer (PA to Social Worker), working within Corporate Operations, Business and Executive Support, South Staffs District Children and Families at our Codsall Office.
This is a full-time permanent position. We are looking for someone to provide a high level of business support administration to work to support social work practitioners across several Teams.
The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
You will be predominantly office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis dependent on the demands of the service.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Providing a high level of administrative support to Practitioners, as part of the Business Support Team, consistent with Directorate Standards and to improve and maintain information data on the Client Information System.
2. Responsible for maintenance of children’s electronic records, creating and recording referrals, actioning step-up/step-down requests, transfer and closure of cases accurately inputting information into our Client Information System to ensure the district meets its relevant Performance Indicators.
3. Data cleansing and audit records to ensure accurate and complete records for performance management.
4. Coordinating the administrative requirements following a child’s entry into the care of Staffordshire County Council.
5. Supporting Practitioners in the use of PowerBI.
6. Providing on the job IT training and support to Practitioners in all areas of our IT systems.
7. Producing high-quality word-processed documents.
8. Responsible for the servicing of statutory meetings including sending out invitations, attendance and minute taking and the production and distribution of records to agreed timescales.
9. Processing day to day financial transactions within the office in accordance with financial regulations.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate will have:
1. GCSE English and Maths.
2. IT Qualification (ICDL Advanced (L3) or equivalent).
3. NVQ 3 in Business Administration.
4. Good written and oral communication skills.
5. Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 and computer-based information systems in an office environment.
6. The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
