Art Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £120 - £180 per day
Contract: Full Time/ Permanent
Start: ASAP
GSL Education Newcastle are looking for excellent Art Teachers for their client school located in Newcastle for the upcoming term of September 2024 develop one of its newest educational provisions.
Job Summary: The Art Teacher will be responsible for teaching fine arts subjects to students at various levels, preparing them for GCSEs and A-Levels, and fostering a deep understanding of art principles and discoveries.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
* Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and can thrive.
* Maintain a motivating and interactive classroom environment.
* Participate in and organize art activities and projects.
* Utilise ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and advance in the education career.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent specialized in Art.
* Experience in teaching Art is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment methods.
* Passion for art and education.
* Be enthusiastic and adaptable.
* Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
