As a Service Support Assistant, you would be the first point of contact for our Mobility Aids Service, providing operational and administrative assistance to the team. Our service offer loans of wheelchairs as well as training on how to use them properly. We give people the competence to continue living independently. We can also ease people's transition to living at home again following a hospital stay. What does a day in the life of a Service Support Assistant involve?
1. You'll provide clerical and operational support. This may include dealing with face to face queries and calls, processing invoices, and working across IT different systems.
2. You'll work alongside our existing volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online.
3. You'll ensure that the delivery service, stock control and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations.
What does it take to be a successful Service Support Assistant?
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills and are at ease handling financial transactions.
5. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft and are confident learning how to use new software and databases, for example, an online stock management system.
6. Confidence dealing with queries from customers, hospitals and referring agencies in a positive and professional manner.
7. Great organisational skills and can prioritise tasks and manage your workload in a busy environment.
