Music and Rent Accountant
The Music and Rent Accountant takes ownership for the accounting and reporting of leases and will support production of timely and accurate information in accordance with a monthly, quarterly and annual timetable including period end accounts for the management team.
This role also takes ownership of the accounting for Music, ensuring results for shows are reported on a timely and accurate manner for both the management and music teams.
What you’ll be doing:
* IFRS16 – update IFRS16 model for changes in leases during the month and post journals for the period. Complete Supplementary Information for Group Finance team.
* IAS 17 – post period end journals for base rent, turnover rent, rent reviews, rent free periods, capital contributions and rent receivables.
* Dealing with ad-hoc landlord payment queries, supporting the Property team as needed.
* Provide support for AP Property payment runs on a periodic basis.
* Preparation of Turnover Certificates on a periodic basis.
* Prepare balance sheets reconciliations and assist with the investigation of reconciling items to ensure integrity of balances
* Assist in answering queries in relation to assigned general ledger accounts including commentary for period end reporting.
* Assist with cash flow forecasting for assigned areas of the P&L.
* Approve invoices in Chrome River (Expense System).
What you’ll need:
* IFRS16 experience
* The candidate should be a self-starter, who is willing and able to take initiative
* Desire to learn new skills/systems
* Good Excel skills
* Good organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, and willingness to liaise with different departments across the business
* Strong attention to detail
* Sound financial accounting and analytical skills
