We're currently recruiting for a Nurse (RGN) to work at our registered care service in St Albans, Hertfordshire providing high quality nursing support to adults with learning disabilities.
This is a part-time role. With shifts available during the day and opportunities for over-time. We also have opportunities for bank / relief staff.
About the role
You will join a team that provides 24 hour support for 12 people with a range of disabilities, in a friendly and homely environment. You'll be able to spend time building relationships with the people we support, getting to know them and their support needs and play a big part in their development. You'll get involved with a variety of activities from the get-go, including art and crafts, going out for walks and drives, music, watching films, and cookery.
Of course there will also be a more practical side to your role, such as assessing the nursing care needs of the people we support and participating in the development, implementation and regular review of their Health Action Plans (within the context of their wider Person Centred Plans) to ensure the best possible care is being provided.
You will also respond to and manage health concerns/ medical emergencies appropriately. You will administer medications, treatments and interventions as prescribed and monitor and record their effects. It will be your responsibility to audit, order and store these medications.

About you
You will need to be a registered nurse with clinical nursing experience. You will be supporting a variety of conditions, including the management of PEG feeds, catheters and stomas.
