Job Summary
As an onsite Test Engineer, you will have strong knowledge and experience of high-pressure gas compression systems which will enable you to support the installation and commissioning of Haskel & Butech related products. Your job function will be to carry out the FAT of all HRS on the Sunderland site leading a team of technicians.
Responsibilities
1. Commissioning of all Haskel systems inc. FAT and successful witness testing.
2. Liaise with customers on technical queries taking responsibility to resolve, to fault find and troubleshoot the PLC programme.
3. Develop new robust test procedures and commissioning documentation.
4. Ensure clear and concise communication with customers.
5. Carry out on site training activities for Customer: Safe & efficient operation of system / product. Basic routine maintenance of system / product.
6. Review and complete method statements and risk assessments where required.
7. Be active in department metrics: Safety Quality Delivery Inventory Productivity
8. Complete and comply with IR code of ethics.
9. Play key role in the following of the company EH&S processes and procedures.
10. Drive the six sigma on the test site.
Basic Qualifications
11. HNC in an Electrical or PLC Engineering discipline.
12. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Depends on the projects and service contract requirements but travel is expected (UK and abroad)
Key Competencies
Essential:
13. Hydraulic Testing experience.
14. Knowledge of P&ID drawings.
15. Excellent troubleshooting skills
16. Baseline understanding of PLC
17. Leadership skills
18. IT Skills including but not limited to, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project and JDE.
Desirable:
19. Knowledge of pump technology, gas, hydraulic and process systems.
20. Knowledge of ATEX/IECEx or qualification.
21. IPAF Qualification.
22. PLC interrogation experience.
23. Software knowledge ( Siemens/Mitsubishi)
24. Knowledge of programming language ( Ladder Logic, ST, SFC, Function Block)
25. Knowledge of HMI screen programming.
26. Knowledge of SCADA systems
27. Knowledge of Haskel products
28. Knowledge of Butech products
29. Knowledge of Haskel Systems (Inc O2 and H2)
