Description
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a prominent member of the leadership team, responsible for all primary production operations across 2 sawmills and log yards at our clients site in Lockerbie.
Your priorities will focus on operational output & efficiency, quality and safety across the entire processing of timber from the log yard to the initial stages of sawmilling.
Ensuring safety regulations are adhered to throughout all processes.
Maintaining high levels of quality control.
Line management and leadership for managers and supervisors of both mills and their respective teams, ensuring all parts of the employee lifecycle is supported.
Driving continuous improvement to improve operational effectiveness, efficiency and increase output using Lean principles.
Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operation.
Reporting to senior management on production status and issues.
