Our client is a global materials company who have grown exponentially since their inception nearly 80 years ago. They manufacture and supply a range of customers across life sciences, academia, automotive, and oil & gas markets amongst many others, with high-quality specialty materials. Due to the growth of the company, they are now looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities will include working with existing customers to ensure they are met with a top-class service and utilizing this service to grow and develop customer accounts. You will also look to prospect for new business and close out new sales. You will look after the full sales cycle from initial enquiry to sale as well as ensure the company database is kept up to date in an accurate and timely fashion. The role is a mix of office and remote work with travel to customer sites across the UK when necessary.
To be considered...
To be considered for the role you will ideally hold a chemistry or material science-related degree. You should also come from a sales background and have experience of selling to automotive, oil & gas, academia, electronics, or environmental customers. You should be a good communicator, possess strong self-initiative, and be highly motivated and organized. You should also be able and happy to travel within the UK as well as attend the office in Huntingdon circa 2 times per week.
