As a radiographer, you will based between the CT and General X-Ray departments carrying out scans daily. You'll report to the Superintendent Radiographer, you'll work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, showing flexibility flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial to enable us to deliver an outstanding service to our patients.
The Cromwell Hospital
The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London providing Outpatient and Inpatient service. The Hospital has over 180 beds, 6 theatres, full intensive care facilities and a dedicated day surgery unit.
We currently have a flagship Siemens Somatom CT scanner with flash, and dual energy capabilities. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of CT examinations including full body imaging, neurological, cardiac and biopsy procedures, and some specialist orthopaedic imaging.
The X-ray department has two general X-ray rooms, an OPG machine, a Fluoroscopy room, a DEXA scanner, and a mammography machine. You’ll provide imaging services mainly to our theatres, theatre recovery, and AICU. We will soon be moving to the new building ‘Lexham Gardens,’ where we will have state-of-the-art X-ray and fluoroscopy rooms by Siemens, brand new Siemens Image Intensifiers, and a state-of-the-art GE Lunar DEXA scanner.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. You'll create and maintain good working relationships with all members of the Diagnostic Imaging Department team, working positively to develop a cohesive team.
2. Promotion of good relations with Referring Clinicians, other hospital departments and outside organisations to ensure that the reputation of the Radiology Department is upheld.
3. You'll be fully conversant with the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS systems, and the computerised method of patient and examination documentation.
4. You'll report all accidents, untoward occurrences or problems to the Superintendent Radiographer and record such incidents according to Hospital policy.
5. Ensure that you are aware of, and conversant with, the Health and Safety at Work Act and comply with the regulations set down to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
6. BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
7. Substantial CT And X-Ray experience (essential)
8. Ability to work under pressure and direct and achieve results
9. Organised.
