Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy and Vision:
o Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product development.
o Develop a regional product roadmap aligned with global strategy and market demands.
2. Product Line Management:
o Oversee the regional product portfolio, ensuring alignment with global strategy and market relevance.
o Manage the product lifecycle, drive innovation, and optimize product costs and portfolio efficiency.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and create high-quality documentation.
o Develop competitive pricing strategies for regional markets while maintaining profitability.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Align regional product roadmaps with global strategies, ensuring market fit.
o Work with marketing teams to support strong product launches and campaigns.
o Provide market insights to engineering teams for product development and collaborate with sales to position products in the market.
o Optimize costs for development, production, and distribution without sacrificing quality.
4. Regulatory and Compliance Management:
o Ensure products comply with international standards and certifications for smooth market entry.
5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
o Implement feedback loops to refine products based on customer needs and market trends.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive product decisions.
o Regularly update stakeholders on product performance and strategy.
7. Travel and Representation:
o Travel to meet with regional teams, clients, and suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 3+ years’ experience in product management, product development, or related field.
2. Optical networking or telecommunications product/industry/technical acumen.
3. Proven track record of driving product revenue growth and profitability.
4. Experience working effectively within a matrix environment.
5. Experience working in a global environment.
6. Preferred certifications in product management (e.g. Certified Product Manager) or agile methodologies (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner).
