Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Retail Doorman (Security Officer) to join our team at a prestigious fine wine and spirits store in Central London.
In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers, staff, and high-value products.

Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors. We encourage the candidate to bring their own personality to the role.
Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to deter theft and ensure the safety of both customers and staff.
Monitor the store entrance, greet every customer, open the door for them, and assist with any needs (such as helping them to their car or holding an umbrella).
Conduct regular patrols of the store, including the shop floor and stockrooms, to identify and address potential security risks.
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, following established protocols.
Assist with the apprehension of shoplifters and work with law enforcement when necessary, providing detailed and accurate reports.
Collaborate with the Store Manager and other team members to implement effective security measures.
Maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Doorman in a retail or hotel environment, ideally within the luxury industry.
A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail, capable of identifying security risks and responding appropriately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, staff, and law enforcement.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, managing difficult situations effectively.
Physical fitness, with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols.
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures is a plus.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
