Welder / Fabricator
Due to expansion and growth, permanent positions have arisen for Welder/Fabricators. Please note that the main base for this role will be Dyce, Aberdeen.
The Role:
Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, Extension Sleeves, Deck Hatches, ROV Panels, Padeyes, and Bottle Stands.
(Valid coding - Advantageous but not essential)
Working hours:
Nightshift - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 6.30pm-5.00am (10hrs) with Thursday 6.30pm - 4.00am (9hrs).
Overtime on offer.
Rate of Pay - Nights £28 per hour + Enhanced rates for Overtime.
Primary Objectives:
1. Welding and fabrication in workshop and site.
2. Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality.
2. Act with honesty, integrity, and accountability.
3. Ability to work well in a team.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential. At least 4 years' experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role may include:
1. Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
2. Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
3. Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
4. Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
5. Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
6. Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel, and aluminium.
