A private equity backed dynamic business has an exciting opportunity to join and support the Chief Internal Auditor, as an Internal Audit Manager.
You will assist the development of the internal audit strategy, leading reviews across a risk-based audit plan in all areas of the business, reporting control concerns to senior level stakeholders and managing that relationship.
This position will ultimately be an interesting governance role than a pure third-line position, so you will also assist with the enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Strategy, Risk Framework and broader processes. If you have a broader governance exposure, this may be useful too.
To be considered you must be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIIA) with at least 6 years internal audit experience. You must be able to work autonomously, have gravitas and be willing to travel internationally when required (approx. 8 weeks annually / 20-25%).
There is a real preference for candidates with oil and gas, or heavy industry experience (engineering, mining etc).
With this being a relatively new internal audit and risk function, which is going through a fantastic phase of development, you must appreciate that internal audit value-add still needs to be sold to senior business leaders, so you can utilise your strong relationship building skills.
Typically their hybrid working pattern is 4 days a week in their Central London office (when not travelling).
Unfortunately, the company is unable to consider anyone who requires sponsorship, so please ensure you have full entitlement to work in the UK.
