The job itself
We require a full time Nursery Nurse/Key Teacher/Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school which thrives on a strong team approach, fantastic children, high standards and a caring ethos.
The post requires staff to attend staff meetings for an hour on Mondays 3.30pm-4.30pm. You may also be required to cover before school & after School club.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and hard-working applicants who have a good understanding of the principles of the EYFS and how young children learn and develop.
We are delighted to be recruiting to our teaching team due to an increasing school roll for September 2024.
We are a small, friendly school. The post will form part of a hardworking and very friendly staff team.
You will be working in a wonderful nursery school where children are actively encouraged to be independent and explore our very natural setting.

Key Worker duties include, but are not exclusive:
1. Planning.
2. Assessment & observation.
3. Attend training, CPD.
4. Attend planning meetings, staff meetings.
5. Setting up the nursery.
Appraisal targets will be set in line with the TA and Nursery Nurse agreed standards.
The role will include supporting individuals, small groups and child-initiated play. Support all aspects of the nursery including setting up and maintaining high quality provision, health and safety checks, risk assessments, first aid, assessment and observation of children. Supporting the running of Forest Schools based activities.
Appointment will be on a fixed term basis for a year starting in September 2024. All applicants will be interviewed by a panel and be observed working with children in the nursery setting by a member of the SLT. Each question will be scored as will practice and the highest scoring applicant will be appointed to the post.
We have high expectations of children and staff at the nursery.
