8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Exeter
Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Exeter and due to ongoing growth of the business they need another Production Engineer to support one of their crucial business units. The ideal candidate will be someone who can develop automated manufacturing processes and also provide support within production cells which will include Automated cells, Assembly, CNC Production cells, etc.
Candidate Background Needed for Role:
1. Level III, HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
2. 2 years current or previous experience working as an Engineer within the following discipline: Manufacturing, Production, Product, Process or Methods
3. Proficient in CAD
Key Duties:
1. Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
2. Develop, implement and maintain best practice through all product engineering activities.
3. Reduce process-related scrap and rework.
4. Achieve cost-effective production of components/processes and qualifications.
5. Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation.
6. Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques.
7. Provide support for manufacturing to improve existing processes.
8. Qualify new products on existing manufacturing equipment.
9. Create supporting documentation for automated equipment (SOP and EMS).
10. Create, verify, and release robot programs for automated cells.
11. Create, verify, and release programs for other programmable manufacturing equipment.
12. Support the identification and implementation of new manufacturing technology.
13. Responsible for program storage, data backups and revision control for manufacturing equipment.
14. Implement and support EH&S activities.
