As a Graduate Design Manager working for a leading Tier 1 Construction contractor you will be offered exposure to a wide range of projects from £10M - £90M in value across public and private sectors. You will take a role in assisting the Design Manger in ensuring design programmes and quality standards are met through the effective management of external partners, internal stakeholders and client representatives.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to start a career in construction design management, offering hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and opportunities for professional growth.
Your day to day will include:
* Assisting in the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule.
* Working with the Design Manager to ensure that our appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment, interrogating returns to ensure compliance with standards and brief.
* Design input at both preconstruction and construction stage of projects.
* Assessing, mitigating and managing risks connected with design

When you join, you will be enrolled onto our graduate scheme. The programme will take 2 years to complete and has been designed to equip you with the skills you need to excel in your chosen profession and help you achieve professional membership or chartership.

What are we looking for?
We're looking for people due to graduate in 2025, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology / Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
The role of Graduate Design Manager is great for you if:
* Experience in a design role or interest in working in a design role with a main contractor.
* .Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
* Must hold Full UK Drivers License
