Job Vacancy – Junior Buyer (Commercial Department)

* 40 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday (8.30 – 5.30)

Role Summary
Main duties will involve:
* Working towards hitting targets connected to stock budgets, waste, margin and sales.
* Responsibility for building and executing commercial plans with suppliers.
* Building business relationships with both small business owners and FMCG suppliers.
* Managing branded and private label business.
* Negotiating and managing supplier contracts and terms.
* Some admin responsibilities, ordering, stock control, setting up new line forms and answering the office phone.
* Completing range reviews.
The Successful Candidate will:
* Have some commercial experience in a fast moving consumer goods environment.
* Be a driven person, who is looking to grow and develop as a buyer.
* Be someone who can work well independently.
* Be a confident communicator.
* Have good time management and organisational skills.
* Have strong analytical skills, numerical and negotiating skills.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Have a Grade B or above in Maths and English GCSE.
* Have a degree in any subject or equivalent.
