Responsibilities
Reporting into our Head of Engineering, you will be organising and delivering effective Engineering training across all Engineering functions. You will work closely with our Engineering Managers to ensure that engineers complete basic training (including H&S and other legal training) and tailored training, designed to meet an individual’s personal development plans. This role will involve covering all 4 of our sites, so a driving license and use of a car is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the content of the training matrix
2. Create new training materials and maintain and update existing materials as required
3. Plan and deliver training activities across all sites.
4. Manage the delivery of training to new starters within ‘Welcome’ period
5. Assessment and signoff of Engineers against training materials once competent
6. Keeping training records up to date and compliant with audit standards
7. Manage the apprentices through the apprenticeship program (academic, practical and welfare), with the support of the Engineering Leaders
8. Obtain feedback from all training delivered measure scope of content and effectiveness of delivery)
9. Liaise with the Maintenance planner to ensure the Winter Maintenance plan is prepared
10. Working with Site Engineering Leads, ensure all PPM and Asset Care activities are completed to the required standards
Skills & Experience:
11. Working knowledge of maintenance systems
12. A good team player and likes to work in a collaborative manner
13. Recognised Electrical qualification (Multi-skilled is advantageous)
14. Training delivery experience
15. Ability to communicate engineering matters across all departments when necessary
16. Good written and verbal communication skills
17. Organisational and prioritisation skills
18. Intermediate IT skills including the ability to manipulate data
