Responsibilities
as our Lecturer in Health will include:
1. Contribute to the development and delivery of a range of educational programmes including identifying learning objectives; determining, designing and producing study material; planning course/study programme delivery.
2. Contribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods when teaching students in the classroom
3. Ensure that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
4. Provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
5. Manage student issues within agreed protocols.
6. Create learner portfolios to agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted on time.
7. Demonstrate efficient and effective operation of the teaching and assessment process in line with College policy relating to quality and the requirements of the awarding body representatives
8. Manage and maintain learner folders in line with audit requirements.

As our Lecturer in Health, youll ideally have:
9. Teaching Qualification. All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
10. All applicants must be able to provide evidence of a Level 2 Qualification in English and Mathematics, or be willing to undertake the Qualification whilst in post, within 2 years.
11. Degree, or Professional Qualification, which is appropriate for the role.
12. Knowledge of professional practice of working within the Health/Medical sector
13. Flexible and adaptable attitude to working with students of all ages, primarily 16-19 year olds
14. Expectation to take part in open events, parents/carers events, employer events, and careers events
