They are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join a growing team.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities
Supplier Management
Assist in the procurement process for nuclear, electrical, and engineering categories, including supplier identification, evaluation, and relationship management.
Contract Support
Support contract negotiation and management activities, ensuring terms and conditions, such as NEC 3 & 4, are favourable and compliant.
Market Research
Conduct research on market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry regulations to support procurement decisions.
Purchase Order Processing
Process purchase orders, liaise with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies.
Cost Analysis
Assist in cost analysis and pricing negotiations to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
Compliance Monitoring
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the procurement process, including export controls.
Data Management
Maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier information, contracts, and pricing data.
ERP Experience
Utilise ERP systems, such as SAP, for procurement activities and data management.
P2P Experience
Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and systems.
Mini Competitions
Experience with mini competitions within procurement frameworks.
Collaboration
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering and finance teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
Preferred Role Requirements
* Proficient in Microsfot Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience in procurement, preferably with exposure to the nuclear, electrical, or engineering sectors.
