Product Manager III
Who you are:
A high performing individual contributor who owns one or more product areas. With some supervision, leads project execution and represents their product area(s) within a cross-functional team. Proposes new feature ideas to address customer needs. Applies established product strategies and contributes to the development of new product strategies for product areas of ownership. Collaborates, with guidance, on global roadmap planning. Socializes and coordinates planning, updates and communications with program management. Achieves expected business results within their assigned projects.
What you'll do:
• Collaborates within team to evolve existing key performance indicators and metrics to discover new opportunities and uses dashboards to monitor and assess team business performance (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness).
• Defines appropriate ranges for metrics and tells the story of the metric over time to understand when system is behaving normally. Proactively identifies issues and take action to remediate.
• Evaluates metrics to discover insights that build new business opportunities.
• Weighs and trades off product scope vs. predicted metrics impact.
• Translates insights into action within the team.
• Develops advanced frameworks to test hypotheses and understands the impact of more complex decisions in various scenarios, drawing upon thoughts and insights from different sources.
• Simplifies frameworks and/or make them easier for a broader audience to understand. Effectively uses frameworks to share story/strategy.
• Uses frameworks with some guidance to align stakeholders and leadership on product feature decisions. Has a point of view and recommended approach hear and incorporate feedback.
• Uses user perspective to inform product segmentation and prioritization decisions with limited manager guidance.
• Identifies potential trade-offs across segments taking into account a variety of factors (product design, marketing, operational considerations, etc.).
• Partners with stakeholders and manager to develop new ideas for research, testing and feedback loops to better understand and quantify customer pain points.
• Owns related product areas.
• Understands product and technology decisions, develops the product feature or product roadmap and executes on go-to-market plan.
• Plans, facilitates development, releases and measures product feature and/or products cross functionally.
• Applies feedback and data from measurements towards product improvements through test and learns and other testing methodologies to positively impact the business (i.e. cost savings, revenue, conversion, etc.).
• Serves as a go-to person for stakeholders including engineering, design, content, for questions, clarifications and direction.
• Manages backlog for product area and balances new features, bugs and tech debt.
• Demonstrates a critical understanding of functional information (e.g. legal, data/metrics, and technical information) and is able to accurately answer relevant questions.
• Builds clear, concise and well structured functional material (e.g. policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages) and recommends improvements to existing material.
• Communicates a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners.
• Tailors communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate.
• Actively seeks diverse feedback on work and anticipates feedback to address it proactively.
• Leads discovery across cross-functional stakeholders to develop understanding of a shared problem, makes suggestions for solutions and recommends which solutions will achieve the most ideal customer or business outcome.
• Deciphers which policies/processes/user experiences/financial models/technology will impact customers and the business based on potential solutions and understands high-level relationships across these factors.
• Makes system changes leading to desired outcomes that are crafted to scale and ensures reporting (including feedback and/or data loops) is in place to gauge customer, business and system impacts.
