Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join ourteam based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth

Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working withinthe Major Projects team supporting us at Devonport RoyalDockyard, Plymouth, where we are the preferred contractor to carryout a large complex building and heavy civil engineeringconstruction in and around the Royal Navy dockyard.
Due to the site being a High Security Royal Navy base,additional security checks - BPSS/SC level of security clearance isrequired. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Onlycandidates holding EU & NATO member passports can be consideredfor this role.
Your day to daywill include:
* Take full commercial responsibility for large and complexsubcontract packages for the buildings under construction, fromtender to final account.
* Commercial management of subcontractors includingprocessing payments, obtaining final account agreements, andresolving disputed issues by negotiation, if appropriate -monitoring of such accounts against cost and programmeforecasts.
* Ensure the timely preparation of reliable monthly cost /value reports for work packages, together with review of resultsand consideration of trends with project teammembers.
* Ensure cash flow is optimised including ensuring paymentsare received and made on time, responsible for the timelyproduction of appropriate levels of applications for payments inaccordance with the provisions of the conditions ofcontract.
* Management of change and risk processes within workspackages and supporting the wider project commercial team withappropriate contract notices.
* Assist in the production ofmonthly / quarterly reports. Provide commercial input includingfinancial and contractual performance forecasts to the managementteam. Help ensure that business targets and project KPI's areexceeded.

* You are educated to degree level or have equivalentexperience within a similar role.
* Have working knowledge andexperience of ECC NEC4 contracts.
* You have confident IT skills,proficient in the use of MS Office in particularExcel.
* You have excellent communication skills both written andverbally.
* Full valid driving licence
