About the Role
When you join us as a consultant, we seek to match you with clients and projects that match your career aspirations and allow you to experience the variety consulting brings.
As a Project Scheduler / Project Planner, you will be based in the Manchester / Preston area.
Project Scheduler / Project Planner Responsibilities:
1. Experience of Scheduling to single or multiple projects within a portfolio.
2. Experience of using Scheduling applications such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
3. Ensure monthly updates of all schedules are completed.
4. Carry out the schedule control in accordance with the client process and procedures.
5. Support the Project Manager in all aspects of setting up the Project Master Schedule.
6. Initiate, maintain and follow-up the Project Master Schedule and critical path for the Project.
7. Perform technical schedule analysis (review of float, logic, etc.) for the schedule as well as updates and revisions during the life of the project.
8. Validate accuracy and completeness of all Project Controls Scheduling information.
9. Draft the Time related sections of the monthly progress report and all other local reports with the respect to schedule and progress.
10. Understand and assist with earned value / progress measurement systems, reflecting productivity trends, as necessary.
11. Assist in managing, controlling and tracking the project cashflow against the baseline budget.

About You
Joining us as a consultant, you’ll be proactive and curious, and have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. You’ll be an effective and influential communicator, an open and collaborative team-player and passionate about continuous learning. You will be able to demonstrate project management capabilities (direct or transferable) gained in industry or consulting environments.
12. Understanding and experience of project management, including at least one of either project planning, scheduling, cost control and risk assessment
13. Proficiency in Earned Value Management or estimating techniques would be an advantage, as would exposure to Primavera P6 for those with a project planning specialty
14. Strong interpersonal and communication skills as you will be working on client site with multiple stakeholders
15. Good analytical skills with the ability to work on complex issues, and communicate solutions in a clear and concise manner
16. Eagerness to further your development within a consulting environment and a consulting mind-set
17. A relevant qualification such as from APM (PMQ, PPQ), PRINCE2 or PMP would be of benefit.
