Is a leading supplier of complex machined components for aerospace OEM and Tier 1 customers around the world. They are a specialist manufacturer of high-complexity components for aero-engine, power generation and air-frame applications.
Our client has extensive machining capabilities supported by a highly experienced engineering team and special processes, allowing the company to take on the toughest aerospace engineering challenges.
Your Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Setting and operating CNC Turning centres.
2. Occasional editing of programmes.
3. Use of conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco
4. Ensuring that programmes are working effectively.
5. Observing the Company's health and safety rules.
6. General duties as required conducive to efficient running of the section.
The ideal candidate will have:
7. CNC setting and operating experience - 2 - Axis Turning Centres.
8. Knowledge of CNC programs
9. Accomplished setting and proving skills.
10. Able to understand engineering drawings.
11. Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds cutters etc.
12. Able to use measuring instruments - micrometers, verniers etc.
13. Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy.
14. Proven experience of aerospace or precision engineering
15. Ability to read engineering drawings
16. Experience in LEAN manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement
