The award winning Hyper Acute Stroke team at Stepping Hill hospital is looking for a ward clerk to come and join our successful teamWard A10 is a 28 bedded Hyper acute stroke unit incorporating high dependency beds, assessment beds for newly admitted patients direct from the HASU ED and some short term rehabilitation is unpredictable and fast paced with great job satisfaction. It is an area constantly developing with excellent learning and development opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Filing - tracking and ordering of medical case notes.
Answering queries not only over the phone but in person as well.
Helping the multidisciplinary team with information they require.
Booking of transport; in a timely manner for appointments or discharge.
Chasing urgent scans or appointments that will support with earlier discharges.
Ordering of office supplies and ward supplies.
The postholder will need to have good experience of IT systems.

Job responsibilities
The postholder must be efficient and professional; to provide support to patients, relatives and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of an excellent service and positive patient journey.
As a Ward Clerk the postholder will need to be able to organise and prioritise their workload.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £ This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
