Job Role/Purpose
Within this role you join an experienced team where you will utilise your skills in installing advanced security solutions including CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems and other security related systems. You would be responsible for installing first and second fix of electronic equipment and associated infrastructure at our client sites. This can mean that the engineer may be overseeing projects or be directly involved in the installation element of the job.
Skills and Knowledge Required
1. Ideally you would have a background in electrical engineering and would be a time served/qualified Electrical contracting engineer with the minimum qualifications, City and Guilds, IEE 18th Edition wiring regulations, although prior experience at this level would also be a prime consideration
2. Previous experience of cable installation including mains cabling, structured cabling and Fibre Optic
3. First fix experience (Conduit, trunking, tray/ basket etc)
4. Second fix experience, including installation of edge devices, central core infrastructure and network cabling
5. Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers
6. Self-motivated and enthusiastic and comfortable and able to work in an autonomous manner
7. Professional manner and approach at all times
8. IT literate
9. Able to attain SC level minimum, and to maintain the clearance level
10. Ability to learn new systems and products
11. Full UK driving Licence

12. Comply with company procedures and H&S policies at all times
13. Work closely with customers and project management in installation of security equipment
14. Lead by example and be capable of directing other team members
15. Manage system installation tasks as directed
16. Delivery of solutions as specified to meet, and or exceed, customers expectations
17. Completing project related paperwork to meet business requirements and timescales
18. Provide feed back on system alterations or change requests from customers
