Head of Sales – Smart Metering/Renewables
Location: Hybrid (Manchester)
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per year (+ commission, performance bonuses, £5,000 car allowance)

Our client is one of the UK’s leading smart meter installation providers, partnering with major energy suppliers. As part of a newly structured and investment-backed group, they are expanding into renewable energy services, including large-scale installations, funded projects, and group management initiatives. Metering remains the foundation of their growth, and this role is crucial to driving future opportunities.
The Role
As Head of Sales, you’ll lead our clients revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, team leadership, and cultivating strong client relationships. You’ll be responsible for achieving ambitious targets, scaling our sales operations, and contributing to the group’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business goals.
* Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
* Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, lasting partnerships with clients.
* Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and provide detailed reporting on sales performance.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to drive business development and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Sales Expertise: 10+ years of sales experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
* Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in metering (MOP/MAP opportunities) and renewable energy.
* Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow market share.
* Leadership Skills: Strong ability to motivate, inspire, and scale high-performing teams.
* Tech Savvy: Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales productivity platforms.
* Strategic Vision: Combines big-picture thinking with tactical execution.

Schedule
* Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (no weekends)
