An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector. As part of the growing Supply Chain team, the postholder will be responsible for managing the pre- and post-award contracts for key projects, including large-scale Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the UK and Northern Europe. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to the global transition to net zero. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage contracts for equipment, including Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical works, using NEC frameworks. Draft, negotiate, and administer project contracts to minimise risk and ensure alignment with agreed budgets. Review and refine Scope of Works to ensure commercial robustness. Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal commercial outcomes. Collaborate with internal teams, including Project Managers, Engineering, Legal, and Finance, during the transition to an EPC Management model. Manage project cost analysis, reporting, and payment processes. Issue Early Warning and Defects Notices and manage Compensation Events. Provide expert Contracts and Procurement advice to stakeholders and promote best practices across the team. Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships, sharing market insights with internal stakeholders. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of NEC frameworks, including drafting, execution, and administration. Proficiency in NEC Contract Management software, e.g., CEMAR. Ability to navigate a multi-project, multi-disciplinary environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of contract law and risk management practices. Experience in the energy, construction, or renewables sector (desirable). Qualifications HND/Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field. Supply Chain Management qualification (e.g., CIPS, RICS) is highly desirable. Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIPS, RICS, or World CC) is an advantage.
