A leading residential property developer is looking for an experienced Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of planning applications and approvals for residential projects in the Eastern region. * Planning Application Management: Lead the preparation, submission, and negotiation of planning applications. Work with internal teams, consultants, and local authorities to ensure approvals are secured on time.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local authorities, community groups, and key stakeholders, advocating for the company's interests throughout the planning process.
* Project Coordination: Collaborate with various teams to align planning goals with overall project objectives, ensuring smooth integration of planning into project timelines.
* Strategic Land Promotion: Evaluate sites for planning potential and contribute to strategic land promotion activities.
* Compliance and Policy Adherence: Keep up to date with planning regulations, ensuring compliance with national and local policies.
* Risk Management: Identify planning risks and develop strategies to overcome challenges.
* Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular updates and reports on planning progress and associated risks for senior leadership.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
* Education: A degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or a related field. Membership in the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in planning management, particularly within residential development or a consultancy. Proven track record in managing complex planning applications.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policies. Familiarity with planning software, GIS, and project management tools is a plus.
* Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
