Job Purpose: To work as part of a M&E Engineering Team, led by the Principal Engineer, to provide professional technical advice and information on all aspects of Environmental Design with respect to Mechanical & Public Health building services and its subsequent operation and maintenance within buildings, in line with the Council’s policies (inc. Net Zero), collaborating with others within Design & Construction and the Property Service generally.

Requirements
Minimum of BEng(Hons) in Mechanical, Buildings Services, Energy or other relevant Engineering degree, and be able to demonstrate relevant design work experience within the Built Environment at a suitable level.
Knowledge of Building Technical Standards, CDM Regulations, Energy Management, metering requirements, Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, Gas Regulations, F-Gas Regulations, Electricity Regulations, British Standards, CIBSE, BSRIA, WRAS, IGEM, etc., guidance.
Be in possession of a valid driving licence to enable efficient and effective travel between various workplaces and work locations within the Highlands to meet the operational requirements of the service.
