Based in our cutting-edge facility near Hailsham, you’ll be part of a team that’s driving innovation forward, supporting major research institutions, and helping global industries tackle complex challenges.
We are now recruiting for CNC Turner to set an operate our CNC Lathes to produce parts correct to our drawing(s)!
As our CNC Turner you will assume responsibility for:
* Setting and running proven and unproven programs, adjusting work and or tool coordinates and correcting any errors.
* Setting tools and produce “First off” parts to the correct quality.
* Changing from machine to machine at infrequent intervals.
* Fulfilling training programs deemed necessary.
* Maintaining of our equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:
* Basic training of a craft apprenticeship and 5 years minimum experience of actual machining
* Must have experience in using CNC Machines
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
* Ability to read & understand ISO and conversational machine programs.
* Capable of using various machine controls.
* Understand how tools and material will react after & during machining.
* To be able to foresee potential problems before they arise.
* Deadline driven without compromising quality.
* Ideally have experience in machining chambers and fabricated items.
* Understands requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally.
