SEN Teacher (Secondary)

Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
Salary Scale: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to engage and make a meaningful impact within the lives of secondary school students in Southampton. This position requires adaptability, patience, and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment where each student's unique needs are met effectively.
As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you will design, deliver, and evaluate tailored educational plans that address a range of learning difficulties, empowering students to achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:
* Develop and implement individualised educational plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
* Monitor student progress, assessing and adjusting strategies as required.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide holistic support.
* Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and specialists, ensuring comprehensive student care.
Qualifications for an SEN Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Special Education or a related field.
* Experience working with SEN students in secondary education settings.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and SEN best practices.
