We are looking for two community based Floating Support Worker for the Swansea area.
What will you do?
* Complete assessment of support needs for young people experiencing homelessness.
* Carry out risk assessments.
* Get young people involved in agreeing and recording support needs.
* Ensure meaningful use of time for all parties.
* Co-ordinate support as the Key-Worker and youth support worker.
* Liaise with other support providers and partner organisations.
* Help young people get involved in volunteering, training, education and other activities.
* Provide tenancy support and advice.
* Travel the area to meet with young people living independently.
What will you get?
* 35 hour work week for full time.
* Permanent contract as a Youth Support Worker.
* Hours are on a rota of 9am to 4.30pm and 1.30pm to 8pm.
* Salary of £23,914 per year - equivalent to £13.14 per hour.

What do we need?
* Someone with experience of working with young people with support needs.
* Knowledge of tenancy support and housing (rent, tenancy sign ups, Housing Grant etc.)
* Experience of supporting with those who have experienced homelessness.
* Access to your own vehicle for travelling the area.
* A willingness to assist with the on-call rota.
* Good understanding of trauma informed practice and supporting those who have been through trauma.
* Someone with a caring, compassionate nature.
* Resilience in the face of a challenge.
* Someone who knows the Swansea area would be a big plus!
