About the role of Quantity Surveyor
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their new commercial team on exciting new projects based in the Surrey area. They were awarded a prestigious Sussex heritage award for their projects.
The responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor
Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
Financial Reporting: Produce and analyse project financial reports, ensuring accurate tracking of costs.
Tender Preparation: Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including handling changes in work during construction, processing valuations, and final accounts.
Risk Management: Identify, analyse, and develop responses to project risks.
Value Engineering: Advise on procurement strategy and ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
