Operations Support Officer (Cleaning)

LCC Facilities Management Service has a new opportunity for an Operations Support Officer to join our Building Cleaning team. The post holder is responsible for providing technical guidance and support for all aspects of the Cleaning Service. The role supports the Service Operations Manager and Cleaning Area Coordinators undertaking an operational support role to ensure the service area runs smoothly and efficiently using technical knowledge to inform decision making. This includes the day-to-day operation of the Specialist Cleaning team, and Cleaning Stores.
The role takes a lead in making changes to work allocation across the service when needed to ensure any gaps are covered, supervision, planning and allocation of work and monitor of cleaning provision and standards in Care Homes, all LCC Corporate sites, County Hall complex, and external client service provision including all Lancashire Constabulary sites where service delivery includes crime scene, and all additional police works.
The post is a permanent full-time position (37 hours per week) based at County Hall Complex in Preston. The working hours are flexible with an agreed balance of working on site and remote working in line with business need, which includes to ensure a balanced approach across the team.
Whilst in the main the duties will be between normal working hours, there is a requirement to provide cover in the Specialist Cleaning service which is a 24 hours 7 days a week service, and the role provides an element of 'on-call' / standby duties. In this eventuality the hours and allowances applicable will be paid.
