The Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will support in the delivery of systems engineering for EM sensors and In-Water Equipment, ensuring project success from design to acceptance. You’ll contribute through managing technical outputs, collaborating with teams, and conducting integration tests.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for:
1. Planning and conducting the full system dry integration tests
2. Adopting and implementing systems engineering practises consistent with the overall program values
3. Managing weekly work package outputs by assigning and tracking tasks through project tracking tools such as Kanban and Jira
4. Collaborating with the Project Manager and Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) to ensure that the Project Plan reflects current objectives and timelines
5. Managing technical outputs in accordance with the Engineering Plan, identifying process gaps or opportunities for efficiencies
Essential Experience of the Senior Systems Engineer:
6. Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principals, processes and methodologies
7. Experience managing the entire product lifecycle from design through to in-service support in a maritime or defence environment
8. Familiarity with integration processes including design proving and acceptance testing of complex systems
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to various stakeholders
