The AEP is looking to recruit an Organiser to boost member engagement and activism within a key profession.
The AEP is a small, specialised trade union and professional association representing educational psychologists (EPs) at all levels – from those yet to qualify (Trainee and Assistant EPs) – through to senior managers in local authorities.
You will be working with our growing network of Local Representatives across the UK to develop their knowledge and understanding of what it is to be a rep. This will include recruitment of members, increasing the number of local reps, developing and delivering training materials, responding to some enquiries and supporting Regional NEC Representatives.
Reporting to the National Officer – Employment Policy and Support, you will need to have a good knowledge of UK employment legislation as well as a broad understanding of how EPs fit into the education system, and be prepared to advise local reps and members who are facing challenges in their working environment.
