TeacherActive is excited to be working with an Ofsted-rated 'Good' SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school nestled in the tranquil rural surroundings of Ledbury. This independent, specialist day school caters to children and young people aged 11-19 years, all with SEMH needs, communication and interaction challenges, and associated diagnoses such as ADHD, ODD, attachment disorders, and specific learning difficulties (SpLD), among others.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, qualified PE Teacher who can inspire learners with complex needs. You’ll be a crucial part of a passionate team that nurtures, motivates, and challenges students to develop physically and emotionally in a supportive environment. The successful PE Teacher will have:
Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, or other additional needs.
A recognized teaching qualification (Certificate in Education / PGCE / QTS).
The ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons that meet individual needs.
A commitment to encouraging fitness, resilience, and teamwork through engaging practical sessions.
Experience integrating Functional Skills into PE lessons, ensuring students gain essential life skills.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills to connect with vulnerable young people.
The ability to work effectively with colleagues and other professionals to foster a supportive learning environment.
Own vehicle or ability to travel to the site.
