Working flexible shifts at Kings Mill, you will join a team of consultants dedicated to providing obstetric or gynaecological care while also being a pillar of clinical and educational support for junior doctors and trainees. Main Duties/Responsibilities
As an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant with Kings Mill you will:
20. Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain a diagnosis and treatment options using various methods to ensure practical understanding.
21. Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment.
22. Provide constant monitoring and care for patients.
23. Communicate with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision making.
24. Work in and where appropriate, lead a multidisciplinary team.
25. Assess and prioritise patient/client requirements, delegating effectively to others.
26. Recognise, review, and report a patient's condition and any changes to the patient and the multidisciplinary team.
27. Performing basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results, writing prescriptions, providing information to patients, and monitoring treatment plans.
28. Conduct research to help develop and test surgical techniques and equipment that can improve operating procedures and outcomes
29. Help teach and train other junior doctors and medical students and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
30. MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
31. Hold CCT or CESR at the time of interview or in an established training programme and within six months of CCT
32. Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR (CP) at interview.
33. 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
