Brief Description:
The Sr. Clinical Supply Specialist will work as a member of the Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ team, assisting the Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM) department with a broad range of business and drug supply coordination activities. This role will report to a Director in the CTSM department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
* Support drug supply related administrative and coordination activities for the CTSM department including but not limited to: IMP reconciliation & destruction, study close out activities, eTMF upload/periodic reviews/final reviews, manual order processing for investigator sponsored studies (ISTs), etc.
* Support drug supply inventory management, shipping coordination/tracking, processing drug returns and destruction requests.
* Support the CTSM team with reporting & analytics as required (ex. Inventory reports, shipment reports, KPIs, etc.)
* Work closely with Procurement and QA to support RFP process, vendor selection and onboarding.
* Creating and maintaining databases and program folders/repository structure for the CTSM department.
* Support review and approval of clinical supply documentation with relevant cross-functional teams.
* Organize and facilitate departmental and non-project team meetings with internal teams and external vendors.
* Creating and maintaining CTSM dashboard and metrics.
* Manage CTSM procurement requests and legal review, support work order approvals, PO generation, invoice payment and accrual process.
* Support the maintenance of CTSM project budgets. Support tracking and performance of CTSM vendors against the project budgets by working closely with CTSM leads and vendors .
* Proactively contribute to continuous improvement and OE initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Experience in clinical trials/clinical supply highly preferred; supply chain/distribution logistics/import export/customs experience is a plus
* Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.
* Recognize areas for improvement and use initiative to implement change programs in support of progress.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to deliver objectives on time.
* Willingness to perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, including budgetary tasks and general meeting administration.
* Strong IT skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. Experience in Coupa/S2P is advantageous.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities
* Experience in the concepts and application of continuous improvement/Operational Excellence is desirable
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
* Bachelors Degree and two to four years of professional experience or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
