Our NCAP level 4 Top performing EI team is looking for a motivated and experienced member of staff to join our team. The service works to support those experiencing a first episode of psychosis to recover and live full and productive lives, targeting the critical period when someone first becomes unwell, in order to have the greatest possible impact on their lives. We are looking for a clinical lead to join our leadership team, in order to support maintaining service quality, safe working practices and driving the service forward. Main duties of the job
To work alongside the Team Manager in delivering a high quality Early Intervention in Psychosis service for the people of Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire. To provide clinical leadership, also providing management support, and deputising for the Team Manager in their absence. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary framework, providing training and staff development, clinical supervision and caseload management, specialist assessment, clinical support and time limited interventions to service users/families. The post holder will act as a source of expertise and point of contact within the team and demonstrate highly specialised communication skills and problem solving abilities when prioritising risk. The Clinical Lead will have a leadership focus on quality and governance at team level and ensure high service standards are maintained.
Job responsibilities
* Facilitation of regular meetings with individuals/ disciplines to inform and update them on clinical and strategic quality issues
* Act as a positive role model for the discipline through the demonstration of strong leadership skills
* To undertake holistic complex assessments and plan care according to need.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A relevant Nursing or Allied Health Professional (e.g. Occupational Therapy/Social Work) degree level qualification or equivalent experience
* Current registration with a nationally recognised professional body relevant to the professional qualification held e.g. HPCC for Social workers, NMC for nurses etc.
Experience
* Successfully managed projects that demonstrate ability to communicate and implement change
* Demonstrable and proven understanding and experience of the clinical and corporate governance agenda
Knowledge
* Proven ability to challenge current practices and freedom to make change in light of evidence-based recommendations
* Proven experience of clinical audit, skill and knowledge required to facilitate staff to undertake clinical audit
