We’re looking for a savvy, ambitious, and motivated apprentice to join our agency here in Leigh-on-Sea, supporting our Development team and playing a key role in the expansion and success of the department.

We’re on the hunt for methodical thinkers, problem solvers, and all-round great guys and girls with a genuine love for wanting to build beautifully functional websites. Shadowing our Lead Developer, you’ll hone and develop your skills and capabilities that will see you working on a variety of jobs - new and old, external and internal. No two days are ever the same here at Storm!
The Apprenticeship will be delivered by Happy and the programme will include foundational code skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP; essential tools like the command line, source control, and automation; and fundamental concepts like Accessibility, Agile, Testing, UX, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
This is an incredible opportunity to learn the fundamental skills necessary to start your career in web development.
Day-to-day, you will be:
7. Working directly alongside the Lead Developer, shadowing everything they do to deliver internal and client projects as part of the agency team
8. Over time, communicating and collaborating with other teams and departments (in particular design, strategy and content)
9. Learning to develop and hone your skills across a number of frameworks and building web projects using Craft CMS
10. Helping to support and maintain existing client websites, with an overview and understanding of code languages
11. Studying 1 day per week to complete the Apprenticeship programme modules (meetings and sessions will be delivered virtually)

Qualifications Required for Apprenticeship:
19. Ideally 5 9-4/A*-C GCSEs (or equivalents) including Maths and English
