Warehouse Manager
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Trafford Park
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Shifts will be covered between the times of 7am - 6pm.
Interviews: Will take place from the first week of January.
The Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable Warehouse Manager to work for our esteemed client, a renowned company in the motive power industry. My client is a dynamic market leader within the motive power industry. They have a passion for service excellence which has contributed to their rapid growth within the last few years. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Manager to work in their Trafford Park Warehouse.
Example of Responsibilities:
Overseeing Incoming Goods: Ensure that stock is recorded promptly and accurately, while notifying the relevant personnel.
Guarantee that all inventory is stored correctly to preserve its quality.
Manage the rotation of stock on the sales floor and refresh items as needed to avoid delays in dispatch.
Ensure that all outgoing orders are packed securely and appropriately based on the delivery method, minimising transit damage while keeping packaging organized.
Make sure all dispatched orders are labelled correctly to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Process Development: Create processes to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce errors in operations.
Guide and mentor warehouse staff to foster a skilled, productive, and satisfied team.
Lead by example in adhering to all safety protocols in the warehouse, collaborating with the HSQE Advisor to enhance safety measures continuously.
Inventory Management with Sortly: Utilize Sortly to manage inventory effectively and efficiently.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Track warehouse performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with other departments to support overarching company goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
Previous experience workings as a Warehouse Manager.
Forklift Licence - counterbalance and reach are preferably but just one is acceptable.
Excellent communication team management skills.
Very organised, efficient and keen attention to detail.
Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of inventory management best practices and logistics principles.
Ability to commute to Trafford Park on a daily basis.
