Our client is experiencing a time of accelerated growth and is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team during this exciting period.
This role merges finance and administrative responsibilities to provide comprehensive support to the Operations Manager. While finance experience is not strictly required, candidates should have a demonstrated interest in finance and be working towards relevant qualifications.
Responsibilities include:
1. Answering the phone and responding to emails
2. Monitoring multiple operations-related inboxes
3. Producing and submitting invoices
4. Bank reconciliation
5. Ensuring that account receivables are collected promptly
6. Supporting and completing month-end tasks
7. Coordinating and preparing the budget, financial forecasts, and reporting variances
8. Supporting the submission of HMRC returns
9. Assisting in the preparations for year-end returns
10. Assisting colleagues wherever necessary
11. Performing other operations administration tasks, including HR and business admin duties
Skills and Experience Required:
12. Previous financial experience or finance qualifications (AAT Level 2 or equivalent preferred)
13. Desire to pursue a career in finance and willingness to work towards finance qualifications
14. Confident customer-facing skills
15. Excellent communication skills
16. Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual
17. Strong attention to detail

18. Starting salary £23,000 to £25,000
19. Annual salary reviews.
20. 22 days holiday +bank holidays
21. Working hours 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday
