Job Outline
A senior level role is available within the growing finance team in St Asaph. This role has responsibility for the financial reporting (two manufacturing sites) including statutory accounts.
Candidates must be process driven and thrive in a busy environment, this is a real opportunity to be involved in site finance relationships.
Key Responsibilities
The main duties with this position will be to:
· Assist in completion of monthly financial statement close
· Prepare and record standard and non-routine journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation. Determine adjustments required and prepare journal entries for related account activity. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or reconciling items.
· Prepare and maintain schedules such as external/internal loans, interests and foreign currency valuation, capital/operation lease schedule and evaluation.
· Record intercompany transactions and confirmation with other assets.
· Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
· Assist with preparation of monthly US reporting requirements such as completion of monthly reporting checklists and fluctuations analyses.
· Process cash entries not related to accounts payable disbursement
· Prepare and maintain fixed assets, expense accruals and prepaid schedules.
· Assist Accounting Manager in the completion of annual statutory financial statement and tax audits.
· Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Manager and other Business Department.
Personal Specification
· Part qualified – qualified ACCA/CIMA
· Knowledge and understanding of internal controls
· 3 years’ experience in general ledger account
· Proficient with MS Work, MS Excel, MS Outlook
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work closely with and as part of the accounting team
· Capable of critical thinking and problem solving
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Must be able to affectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
· Self-motived and directed
