Can you show that you have experience leading, motivating, developing and coaching diverse account teams? Your track record will have the client at the heart of everything you do and you will ensure all activity is focussed on having commercial impact in the market.
We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Senior Manager level candidate to be responsible for the account management of some of our key firm clients. Our Relationship Management team focuses on the firm’s top priority accounts across different segments and supports lead relationship partners and account teams to drive profitable revenue growth and deliver exceptional client value.
We work with government, public sector, health and pharma & life science organisations to deliver commercial outcomes for the firm with an unwavering focus on delivering positive, sustained outcomes for our clients and for society.
Previous experience of working in or with government clients is highly desirable. In particular an understanding of public sector procurement as well as an understanding of the Social Value framework. Candidates will need to hold BPSS clearance and in some cases higher levels of security clearance. Applications for security clearance can be made as part of the onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creating or facilitating client touch points and generating new revenue streams.
2. Identify and build new client relationships as well as drive growth in existing relationships between PwC and the client in order to deliver opportunities and profitable growth. This includes the conducting and sharing the outputs of client feedback.
3. Have a deep understanding of their client’s priorities, strategies and organisations to ensure PwC adds value across the organisation from a variety of sources including conversations with client contacts.
4. Build high performing teams of partners and staff around their particular clients, sharing the knowledge and understanding of the client both in the account team but also in wider firm as required.
5. Develop and implement effective account strategies including relationship mapping, management of opportunity pipeline and generation of investment plans.
6. Bringing discipline, structure and support to account teams through management information, market insight, knowledge sharing and meeting preparation.
7. Work right across the pursuit process to inform, support, challenge and inspire their account teams to spot, develop and convert a pipeline of opportunities.
8. Support the Firm’s ‘one firm’ sales and marketing strategy, with the full complement of PwC’s full Sales and Marketing team.
The skills and experience we’re looking for
9. You will possess excellent communication skills and gravitas with senior stakeholders, (both clients and senior staff) as well as demonstrating a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for global, complex clients.
10. An expert understanding of best practice account management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
11. The jobholder must be creative and be able to effectively communicate key business messages to a diverse audience.
12. A proven track record in sales, business development and client relationship management in a highly competitive environment.
13. Strong stakeholder management and experience leading, motivating, developing and coaching diverse account teams.
14. A proactive individual who is able to work effectively as part of a team, which may at times be geographically dispersed.
15. A collaborative individual who is able to contribute and participate as a member of the Relationship Management capability.
16. Strong commercial acumen both in terms of managing pipeline and challenging/coaching teams through the sales process.
17. Experience of people management and developing individuals/teams.
18. A strong knowledge of a sales methodology and proven experience of driving opportunities through to revenue.
