Our client, a distinguished entity in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Hull. The role involves on-site work, with flexibility around working hours, and is conveniently located within walking distance from Hull station.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct site maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent performance
Develop and implement comprehensive site maintenance procedures
Ensure all site equipment is compliant with safety legislations, testing, and inspections
Analyse and resolve issues through root cause analysis and fault-finding techniques
Perform equipment repair as required and maintain detailed records
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Support project plans, including site preparation work, equipment installation, commissioning, and technical training
Collaborate with teams to support repairs as needed
Job Requirements:
Experience in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, particularly with extrusion processes
Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency
Experience in injection moulding is advantageous
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
