The candidate MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF GENERAL PRACTICE

Completed training in vaccinations and cervical smears is essential with additional skills in chronic disease management an advantage.
Diabetes enhanced management and travel vaccinations would also be advantageous.
The position advertised will involve undertaking all the standard duties of a practice nurse. This includes as above cervical smears ,immunisations both adult/child and travel and chronic disease management amongst other standard duties.
We are a high performing practice with high QOF achievement and rated CQC Good in all areas. The role allows part time working and has some flexibility in the hours worked and will allow the candidate to maintain an effective work life balance.
Hours can be discussed but we are aiming for around 24 hours per week or over although this can be increased or decreased by mutual agreement /discussion
SALARY Competitive and open to negotiation plus pension and range from £25 to £30 per hour plus pension depending on experience

Main duties of the job We are looking for a practice nurse within a practice with experience of General Practice and in particular able to undertake Immunisations and Smears with other standard duties of a practice nurse from day one.
Overview of your organisation We are a rapidly expanded expanding practice but still smaller than many. This allows a supportive friendly, team based atmosphere and an opportunity for the right candidate to combine an interesting professional career with their own outside interests while maintaining a good work life balance. Continuing professional development will be supported. The hours are flexible with an obvious need to meet the needs of the practice and patients. The job is for the main practice nurse on site although can be shared if needed.
Qualifications Essential criteria Registered Nurse Membership of Professional body
Desirable criteria post registration working in a general practice and looking for advancement or an improved salary.
Experience & Essential criteria Desire to be working and improving in a general practice
Desirable criteria Knowledge of Long term conditions and advanced practice nurse duties.
