Lecturer: Plumbing & Gas
Preston College is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled professional for the role of Lecturer in Plumbing and Gas. As a key member of our Construction and the Built Environment department, you will impart your extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise to aspiring plumbing and gas professionals.
You will plan and deliver both practical and theoretical sessions to support your learners to achieve their qualifications. You will need to adapt and differentiate your teaching to ensure that everyone succeeds and positively progresses.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an individual with a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of industry best practices, and a commitment to providing top-notch education in plumbing and gas installation.
You'll be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of plumbing and gas experts. You'll guide our learners through both theoretical concepts and practical applications, and preparing them for success in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of plumbing and gas engineering.
The ideal candidate will be able to evidence their skills and technical knowledge of a relevant occupational area and will be qualified to at least Level 3. Experience of teaching or training in a further education setting would be advantageous.
A teaching qualification is desirable, but if you don’t have one and are willing to work towards achieving one then we will support you to do so, both financially and academically.
Job Title: Lecturer: Plumbing & Gas
Salary: From SCP 24 (£29,453) to SCP34 (£39,586) per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience
